What's on Now:Good catch at the Outer Banks and beyond will include King mackerel and tuna, Bluefish, Striped Bass or Striper, Snapper and Grouper, Channel bass, Spot, Speckled Trout and Flounder, and many others. The peak of the Striped Bass season is fall, winter and spring with the best top water bite occurring in October, November and December. Speckled seatrout may begin as early as mid-March and continue through late-May or early-June until the summer heats them out. Speckled Trout will pick back up as it cools from mid-September to mid-December and later. This later season is best in NC and a truly fantastic fishery.North Carolina is a fantastic fishery.
