What's on Now:April fishing at the Outer Banks will include Striper, Bluefish, Drum or red drum, Sea Trout, Grouper and Snapper, Croaker, King Mackerel, and Wahoo. Speckled seatrout may begin as early as mid-March and continue through late-May or early-June until the summer heats them out. Speckled Trout will pick back up as it cools from mid-September to mid-December and later. This later season is best in NC and a truly fantastic fishery.In North Carolina, April is a big month for lake Largemouth spawning and you find yourself looking for aggressive fish that have not yet spawned yet. This time of year soft plastic baits are often the better baits; also try small spinners. Throw these bait near structure or where fish are bedding.
