We have Supported These Groups with Our Profits

Please try to support some of the organizations that represent recreational fishermen, hunters, or conservation of North Carolina's wild resources. Now is the time that important decisions, plans, and activities are made that materially effect us as sportsmen. The following are some of the organizations fond to our heart, but there are many other very fine organizations not listed here. Thanks!

Coastal Conservation Association of NC -- Dedicated to preserving our natural resources so that future generations can enjoy their splendor.
Ducks Unlimited - conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl.
Quail Unlimited - national nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the preservation and reestablishment of crucial upland game bird habitat.
Ruffed Grouse Society -- The Ruffed Grouse Society's role in conservation of wildlife habitat is to enhance the environment for the RUFFED GROUSE, AMERICAN WOODCOCK, and other forest wildlife that require or utilize thick, young forests.
Trout Unlimited - trout and salmon habitat conservation group with chapters throughout the US. Tips, information, and local chapter search.
National Wild Turkey Federation - dedicated to conservation of the American wild turkey and the preservation of the turkey hunting tradition.
South River Interactive - Web development company that put up the money for this site.

Now is the time that many important decisions are made on allowable commercial fish harvest in North Carolina. Recreational fishermen have long gotten what was left over by the commercial fishermen although it has been demonstrated time after time that this is not best use of a finite fish resource. It is clear that the highest benefit to North Carolina economically is when recreational fishermen hook/line fish and therefore buy boats, tackle, hotel rooms, food, entertainment, gas, and a myriad of related stuff in pursuit of fishing.

Consider writing a letter or email to or calling someone indicating your desires for the future of recreational fishing.
