Worm Pattern Flies:
Worm patterns are very consistent producers most of the year for catching both stocked and wild trout and many other species like Panfish or Bass. They work especially well for stocked fish,, after a big rain, and during the spring, winter, and fall seasons. Worm patterns, such as the San Juan Worm, make a great attractor when they have some brightness.
I always keep in my fly box. Some fly fishermen claim worms are unfair, but I say you are just "matching the hatch". |
