What is on right now:

• There is fantastic sailfishing from Key Largo to Big Pine Key to Key West, and the magical Islamorada. This fishery is stronger than times before. Many recommend dangling live baits beneath kites and sight casting live baits to feeding schools.
• Fishing for winter redfish, Spanish, snook, and other species should be tried along the Florida Bay. This vast fishery is made up of thousands of miles of shallow seagrass, mangrove islands and tributary creeks between the mainland and the Keys. Much is protected by Everglades National Park
• The North American Coral Reef Tract runs northward along the entire length of the Florida Keys and beyond; this is the only living coral reef in North America. Here, fishing is good for groupers, snappers, grunts, and others.
• Florida still sports winter sight casting for bonefish and permit during winter months although not a prime time.
