Florida Keys provide year round flats fishing -- flats fishing is the ultimate fishing experience. Bonefish, Permit and smallish Tarpon are the most commonly sought flats fish. During the winter months expect to catch Snook, Trout, Redfish, residential Tarpon, and Bonefish. Fall is good for Redfish with decent numbers of Snook and Tarpon. Spring is fantastic with the annual migration of Tarpon in mid April. Then comes perhaps the best fishing of the Keys: Bonefish. Try a 10 pound Bonefish on a fly if you can stand the excitement.

This area is North American fishing at its best.
