With 38,000 acres and six recreation areas, Falls Lake, North Carolina is a great place for outdoor lovers. The beautiful, crystal-clear Falls Lake is available for all water sports from parasailing to jet skiing and of course there is great fishing!

Falls Lake supports an excellent fishery. Be sure to review a current Regulations Digest for any applicable size and creel limits. There is good water access and two of the best boat ramps include:

1. Raleigh access -- From Raleigh: follow NC-50 north, crossing Falls of the Neuse Lake, to SR-1901 (just past Sandy Plain but before the Granville County line). Turn left (west) on SR-1901 and continue to SR-1903. Turn left (south) on SR-1903 and proceed to SR-1900. Turn left (east) on SR-1900 which takes you to the access area.
2. Upper Barton's Creek access (Raleigh) -- From Raleigh: follow NC-50 north to NC-98. Turn right (east) on NC-98 approximately 1.5 miles to SR-1005. Turn right (south) and go another mile to Upper Barton's Creek. The access area is on your left.
