Connecticut has superb fishing; the state offers something for everyone. The waters of Long Island Sound offer very productive saltwater fishing. Charters operate all along the Sound with concentrations in New London, Clinton, Mystic, Waterford, Noank, and others. Expect to catch striped bass, bluefish, fluke, albacore, and more. Light tackle fishing for these species is an extreme experience.

Connecticut fly fishing is also fantastic. Connecticut fly fishing opportunities include saltwater fishing for striped bass, bluefish and albacore along the coast. The Housatonic River and Farmington River also provide great dry fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout, and smallmouth fishing in warmer months. There will be ample guides to show you the way. Connecticut also has numerous bait, tackle, and fly shops that have all the gear, service, and knowledge of the area to ensure you of a successful fishing trip.

You can read more about Fishing Connecticut in these books. Also, we will be adding maps and guides to this site as time goes on.
